NRC Wall Height Modification Project

What was the Challenge?

The Northern Recycling Center (NRC) facility was required to increase the height of its public drop-off wall to comply with MOSH/OSHA standards. The wall height needed to be raised 11 inches to meet the required wall height of approximately 42 inches. The facility also needed to maintain continuous operations to service residential customers.

How did Barton & Loguidice provide a solution?

B&L provided daily Construction Management and Inspection Services, coordinated with the County to close and open the phases of work as well as provided Construction Record Documentation to Anne Arundel County DPW-WMS at the Northern Recycling Center.

Why was the project a success?

B&L’s ability to manage the project, identify look-ahead construction conflicts, and coordinate efforts through each of the seven phases of work, kept the project on schedule and ultimately achieved compliance with regulatory standards.
