Glen Lake Brook Dredging & Stabilization

What was the challenge?

The challenge of this project was using bathymetric survey data to design the post-dredging and streambank stabilization conditions and obtaining regulatory approvals from state and federal agencies to permit the work.  The challenging factor was that the work site was an amusement park.

How did Barton & Loguidice provide a solution?

B&L worked with The Great Escape Properties to develop a design plan and construction schedule to allow the hydraulic dredging and streambank stabilization work to be completed immediately following closure of the Park in the fall to allow for the work to be completed before the Park re-opens in spring of 2024.

Why was the project a success?

B&L obtained regulatory approvals from state and federal agencies to permit the work, assisted with bidding and awarding the project, and provided construction oversight throughout construction. The work is scheduled to be completed on time and within budget!
