Barton & Loguidice Team Receives Genesee Valley American Public Works Association Award
The Genesee Valley American Public Works Association’s “Project of the Year” Award was presented to the Monroe County Bowerman Road Bridge Rehabilitation Project, led by Barton & Loguidice and the team from the Monroe County Department of Transportation and Economy Paving. This award was recognized in the Structural Category for projects less than $5 million.
Barton & Loguidice provided the design and construction inspection services for the rehabilitation improvements which included the installation of a new composite concrete deck, and providing additional structural capacity by installing cover plates on the existing girders and introducing a full continuity splice at the pier. Additional improvements included new concrete approach slabs, new steel bridge rail, and new elastomeric bearings.
The purpose of the Genesee Valley American Public Works Association awards is to annually honor outstanding public works professionals and projects from the Genesee Valley area.
