Senior Project Manager Hans Arnold Joins B&L’s Syracuse Office
Hans Aronold has joined B&L’s Solid Waste Practice Area as a Senior Project Manager in the firm’s Syracuse, NY, office.
A current resident of New Hartford, NY, Hans received his B.S. degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Regional Planning in Natural Resource Management from the University of Massachusetts.
Previously, Hans was the Executive Director of Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Management Authority since its creation in 1988 and has also owned and operated a small consulting firm.
Hans has a wide range of experience in planning, building, and operating solid waste management system facilities on a regional scale, including materials recovery, green waste compost, landfill, energy recovery, e-waste collection, Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection, and transfer stations. He also has experience working with communities to procure transfer and disposal agreements, negotiating host community agreements, creating public-private partnerships, and assisting with complex litigation.
Throughout his career, Hans received several professional awards, including; the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC) – Diamond Award for Engineering Excellence for Oneida-Herkimer Regional Landfill Facility in 2008 and the New York State Association for Solid Waste Management (NYSASWM) Solid Waste Manager of the Decade in 2007.
