Internships
In a world with an overwhelming number of options, we are passionate about helping students Find Your Place. B&L’s paid internship program is specially designed to help you discover and grow your interests, learn skills in real-life settings, and build your professional network. Interns are included in field work and staff events whenever possible. We are looking for STEM students with a passion for civil engineering, environmental science, landscape architecture, community planning, land surveying, or architecture.

The B&L Internship Experience
B&L interns enjoy hands-on opportunities of all kinds during their time with us. Our program runs year-round, but most choose to join us in the summer. We are proud to involve interns in projects right away, creating real solutions for municipalities and private businesses. We also elevate your experience with special activities, such as:
- Practice Area Courses: learn about our different specialties from award-winning staff.
- Field Work Experiences: some interns have even traveled to other states!
- Mentorships: relationships to last long after interning.
- Recognition Events: we want to celebrate your achievements!
- Wrap-Up Presentations: share what you’ve learned during your time with us.
A high percentage of B&L interns are welcomed back as full-time staff. Remember that your time as an intern gives supervisors a look into your drive, skills, and work ethic.
